Peer to Peer networks have had a huge impact on how New Media studies have progressed, how individuals consume and companies think about their markets. This talk gives you low down on how peer-to-peer networks function, how they are being used and how they came to be. Brandon Wiley (2nd to talk) gives a stunning history of the P2P scene, below is his presentation.
Last Friday we put on the second in a series of three talks on New Media. The topic of the evening was Online Communities and in just over an hour we were able to travel all the way from IRC to browser based multiplayer games and wound up at a car show.
If you missed the talk, or just wanted to get a second taste, we have the full video of the event up on the web at:
Hope you can make it to the third talk this Friday!
