She meets March 8th with her face erased, and her name hidden. With her come thousands of women. More and more arrive. Dozens, hundreds, thousands, millions of women who remember all over the world that there is much to be done and remember that there is still much to fight for. EZLN communiqué: 12 Women in the Twelfth Year
Subcomandante Insurgente Marcos, 1996
Welcome to a creative, exploratory space. This is an arena of discussion, collaboration, challenge, education and participation. We have opened this door for you to enter and meet one another, in honor of the women who have offered their lives to the Zapatista movement. We have seen that there are people throughout the world who are inspired by the courage and perspicacity of Zapatista women. Others who are perplexed and challenged by the complexities of the revolutionary articulations of women many times removed from our reality. This is an attempt to bring us together, so that we may learn from and with each other.
You are invited to contribute resources and to engage in discussion here. Your questions and concerns, interests, ideas, views and recommendations make this a dynamic forum. Papers, artwork, photographs, interviews, fieldwork, journal entries, recordings, video files, animations, poems and other creative or academic endeavors are gratefully accepted here. Should you wish to contribute, you can submit your work for inclusion in this web site, or you can direct others to your work by submitting a message to the forum.
Thank you for joining the table.
