Hola, I am a student at Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz, California.
I am doing a hurried research paper on the revolution in Chiapas. I decided to focus on the woman memers of the EZLN as my thesis. I desperately need
informationon this topic. I have put together a list of questions I would like answers to. I would greatly appreceate any information you can provide for
me.
1. How have woman of the EZLN influenced woman nation wide and what is happening as a result?
2. What do the changes in woman's communities in Chiapas offer woman elswhere?
3. what effects do the fact that woman are now leaving their home have on Chiapas? on the Indigena people?
4. How do Zapatista men respond to the woman who have traditionally been servents to them, now having power over thrm?
5. Is there any aspect of the Zapatista movement as a whole that would have been different if it were't for the involvment of women?
6. could this hiddenly be a woman revolution as a gender as well as a peasant revolt?
Unfortunatly I only have less than a week to complete this research project. I will be very thankful for any information you send me.
