Howdy
Welcome to my ActLab Fall 2009 Soundscape page. Here you’ll find my projects for this semester’s class. Hopefully, they’re entertaining. If you don’t like them…well I don’t really care (unless you’re Sandy, Joey and/or Dustin).
Project 1:
Make-a-thon: Keep It Stupid Simple (K.I.S.S.)
This is my first attempt at creating a soundscape using software like Garage Band. My theme was to “Keep It Stupid Simple” a mantra I learned while working at Victoria’s Secret. In essence, we were taught to consult the mystery of women’s lingerie using simple metaphors and descriptions. Trust me, when Valentine’s Day rolls around, you don’t want to make it complicated. Sounds simple..but duh, that’s what I was aiming for in this instance.
Project 2:
This is my second project. Here, I attempted to make an LED sensor multi-touch table. But, it was a complete and utter fail. But, since we FAIL with grace in the ACTLab, I documented the crap out of it.
Project 3:
My third final presentation was a performance of John Lennon’s Imagine. I also attempted to make a multi-layered track, which of course turned out mediocre. But, I was quite happy with the live performance.
