JenVar's ACTLab

Hello World! I’m actually quite impressed I’ve been able to figure this out to the extent that I have. While I find time to spend a ton of time on popular websites, I’ve never really took a good look at how they’ve been made…So this is good practice?

Anyways, my name is Jenny Varner and I generally go by JenVar. I’m a junior at the University of Texas at Austin and I work extensively with the student television station, TSTV. I founded a 30-minute variety show entitled Austin Underground and am currently the executive producer. We recently won “UTmost TSTV Program” by the Daily Texan, and I pride myself in the fact that I built this show from the ground up.

So why JenVar? Well like any nickname I can thank my friends for that one. In editing class we had to label all of our work with our name or a shortened version of it with the main title following. Consequently, I named all of my work JenVar_Whatever and the name just kinda stuck. “Let’s screen JenVar’s edit!” Now I’m introduced to people as JenVar by my friends, and the nickname now has a following.
